The Smoky Mountain Brewery Gatlinburg is located right on the main Parkway within walking distance to the national park entrance. Having spent the day on the road, we were looking for a comfortable sports bar with some ice cold beer and live music. The Smoky Mountain Brewery Gatlinburg caught our eye right away. It reminds you of a Bavarian style building complete with large timbers. It features an enclosed outdoor deck that has a great view of the Smoky Mountains in the background.

I would say it is a laid-back watch a game or two while snacking on the vast array of food choices kind-of-place. Now some may call this a sports type bar, but we found it to be very family friendly. Our teens loved the excellent food choices and being able to watch just about any sport while relaxing and eating.

Our teenagers ordered a cheese pizza, mac n cheese, and Caesar salads. We ordered the ole smoky burger with cheese and a half slab of ribs. We found the food choices to be great quality for the money. Steve said it was as good a burger he has ordered anywhere we have ever been.

While enjoying our choices though, we couldn’t help but notice the plate of chicken wings flying by that looked so tempting. We discovered that the “wings” can be ordered with breading or naked and your choice of sauce. The teens noticed the Philly cheese sandwiches that can be ordered with steak or chicken. We are looking forward to a return trip to the Smoky Mountain Brewery Gatlinburg.

The Smoky Mountain Brewery Gatlinburg has several TV’s throughout the establishment so you can view any type of sport that is currently on TV. The huge open seating area of the restaurant is very accommodating for large or small groups. In addition, they have a very nice bar area which also has several tables.

As an extra added bonus, there is live entertainment every night of the week. This is definitely the place to frequent for eating, drinking and dancing. As we had mentioned, we were looking for an ice cold beer after traveling all day. The Smoky Mountain Brewery Gatlinburg also has an incredible microbrewery! You can check out the history and story about the microbrewery on their website. Read about the various and numerous awards that the brew masters have received. We ordered the Velas Nelles German Lager and the Thunder Road Ale and found both to be flavorful and smooth. Your server will be happy to help you select the right brew for your liking.

Our server was polite, efficient, and very attentive to our needs. We certainly appreciated the friendly smile and having our questions answered. If the choices are too many, we would recommend that you order the beer sampler. Each person can receive six choices letting you conduct your own beer tasting party right at your table.

What a great concept! You can continue to enjoy a favorite beer by purchasing a six-pack when you check out at the front register.
