If you loved the Dukes of Hazzard, you might want to take a trip to Cooters Place Gatlinburg. It’s located on the parkway in downtown Gatlinburg. It’s hard to miss the big red building and huge "Cooter's" sign. There's also the bright orange General Lee parked out front, so you'll have a hard time going past without noticing it. You enter through the gift shop, where there are all kinds of Dukes souvenir options, including miniature car replicas, hats, shirts, videos, and lots of other fun toys.

The main part of Cooters Place Gatlinburg features tons of Duke memorabilia. They have several vehicles from the series, including Daisy Duke's Jeep, the General Lee, the Sheriff's car and Cooter's tow truck. You'll see a television playing past episodes, memorable posters, pictures, scripts, old costumes and props from the show.

If you're lucky, you'll even be at the attraction when one of the cast members is making a scheduled appearance, and get the chance to see and talk to them. We didn't get so lucky. The price can't be beat because you can’t beat FREE. But you can get a cool drink, check out some memorabilia, and enjoy the nostalgia. For five dollars (ten if you use the museum's camera), you can get your picture taken in the General Lee. If you don't want to pay that much, you can take photos beside the car at no charge.

You won't be sorry you took the time to check out all the fun cars and other Dukes related items, and you'll get some fun pictures to take back home, too. It's great to see something in Gatlinburg that doesn't cost a lot of money and it was a lot of fun to visit. The parking can be a bit tight downtown, so you may need to walk to get to Cooters Place Gatlinburg.

It's a good attraction for kids and adults alike, as long as you like the Dukes of Hazzard. The staff is friendly and glad to tell you plenty about the show and have a talk.
